Settings

The dimensions of the "shrunk" files can be controlled via the Settings :

"Max File Size (kb)" specifies the maxim size that your "shunk" image may be. A higher value will retain more resolution, but a lower value will speed up transfer times. Try experimenting with different values to find a settings that provides a reasonable quality and file size.

"Max Width (pixels)" and "Max Height (pixels)" specify the maximum dimensions (width x height) that your final image will be "shrunk" to. Typical screen resolutions are 1024x768 or 800x600, but some systems have much higher or much lower resolutions. If you are emailing to someone using a PocketPC, then a resolution of 320x320 may be appropriate.

In order to prevent "skewing", MoJoShrunk^© uses these values to set upper limits for "shrunk" image, not for the final image size. For example, if your original image is 1000x1000 pixels and your Max Width is set to 800 and the Max Height set to 600, your "shrunk" image would not be 800x600 (as this would distort/stretch the original image), instead it would be 600x600. This retains the original "shape" of the image while still fitting within the max width and height boundaries.

"Save To : " is the directory where your "shrunk" images will be stored. This is the directory where your email attachments should be loaded from. To change this directory, enter a new location, or use the browse button to select a new location.
